Mckenzie Stockwell is a senior at Coldwater High School. She is also enrolled in the Business program at the Branch Area Careers Center (BACC). Her OJT placement has her working as morning manager of The Corner Store at the BACC under the direction of Kelly Spray. Her duties include supervising the business students who help run the store, ordering inventory, handling cash, balancing registers, stocking shelves, and cleaning the store.
At the BACC McKenzie is a member of Business Professionals of America (BPA), where she qualified to attend the BPA State Leadership Conference. She has also earned several attendance awards.
Mckenzie loves the responsibilities of managing the store. Her favorite parts are working with the students and handling cash. Her spare time is taken up by her job at Buffalo Wild Wings and working out at the gym. After graduation Mckenzie plans to attend cosmetology school and someday own her own salon.
Kelly Spray says, “Mckenzie has shown real growth as store manager. She works great with the first year students, and it's easy to see she likes her job.”
Mckenzie is the daughter of Jason and Rachel Taylor.
