Penelope Kennerk

Penelope Kennerk is a Senior at Quincy High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Business Management, Marketing, and Technology program. Her On-the-Job Training placement is at Century Bank and Trust under the direction of Heather Chapman.  Penelope’s Frontline Teller responsibilities include handling the many types of financial transactions customers require.  Heather says, “I am very impressed with Penelope’s growth since she started working here.  She has really come out of her shell and has become a confident member of our team.  Our customers love her.”

Penelope feels that her teller placement has helped her get a deeper understanding of how banking works as well as how to make better personal financial decisions.  Her favorite part of her job is interacting with the customers.

At the BACC Penelope is an active member of Business Professionals of America (BPA).  At the BPA Regional Competition she placed first in the Economic Research Project competition.

After high school Penelope plans to go to college and pursue a career in international business and marketing.

Penelope is the daughter of Ken Johnson and the late Wendy Kennerk.
