Alex Danels is a senior at Quincy High school and attends the Welding Engineering Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center. His On-the-Job Training placement is at Lagrange Products Inc. where he works as a welding fabricator constructing industrial pressure tanks.
At the BACC Alex has earned the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 General Industry Safety and Health Certification. At Lagrange Products he has passed the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Short Circuit Transfer test and the GMAW Spray Arc Transfer test. He is also a student member of the BACC Welding program’s Advisory Board.
In his spare time Alex likes fishing, working on his truck and keeping busy with various projects. Alex says “I just like to work.”
After graduation Alex plans on continuing his welding career and expanding into ironwork.
Alex’s supervisor, Jamie Hadwig, says that “Alex is not just good at following directions, he sees what is next. We are very happy to have him.”
