Waldron Learning Center
The Waldron Learning Center opened in 1978, and was named after Marjorie Waldron, a local resident, who had a great love for special education students.
The school provides educational services for students with moderate to severe impairments and is operated by the Branch Intermediate School District.
In addition to the classrooms, the Waldron Center has a conference room, gymnasium with locker rooms, computer lab, cafeteria, and a designated outside play area. Swimming facilities are also available to our students at the Coldwater Aquatic Center within walking distance of our facility.
The building is WiFi accessible and equipped with security cameras, secured entrance, and a 911 emergency ID phone system.
The Waldron Center has been identified as a MI HeartSafe school. Members of this school know how to recognize the signs of a sudden cardiac arrest and have met the following requirements: written cardiac emergency plan; cardiac emergency response team and trained at least 10% of staff in CPR/AED; have accessible AEDs with identifying locations; and performs one cardiac drill per year.
