Autobody and Custom Paint

Autobody and Custom Paint is a two year program for 11th and 12th grade students. The training includes classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on experience in the shop and on the job training is possible after completion of the first year program.

Autobody and Custom Paint offers you the opportunity to learn skills that can be applied to a variety of fields– from vehicle repair to aviation and restoration. Careers include jobs in Repair & Finishing, Exterior Repair, Refinishing, Unitized Body Repair, Auto Glass Installation, Insurance Claims Adjusting, Shop Management/ Estimation, Shop Ownership, and Auto Body Design & Coatings Technologies. An experienced technician has high-income potential, excellent job security, and ample opportunities for career advancement within the entire automotive industry. Many people are surprised to learn that an autobody repair technician’s income, on average, is better than comparable trades. A lead technician can make up to $60K annually. Furthermore, the demand for new technicians is growing. The average age of the collision repair technician is approaching 50, and many new technicians will be needed to fill the positions left vacant by retirees.
