Jack Ruden is a senior from Coldwater High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is a Soil Trainee with B&M Crop Consulting under the supervision of Bill and Missy Bauer. Jack is responsible for soil sampling in the Fall and Spring seasons. He also assists with plot research and maintains the shop, the grounds and equipment. Jack’s favorite part of his job is taking soil samples and learning more about agronomy. He feels his OJT training has helped him understand the real world of work and learn hands-on and beyond the classroom . Jack’s future plans are to attend college to study agronomy. At the BACC, Jack serves as BACC Chapter President and he has earned his FFA Greenhand, Outstanding Junior, Chapter, and State degrees. He has competed in various FFA Career Development Events. At Coldwater High School, Jack is a member of the Football, Basketball and Baseball teams. In his spare time, he enjoys duck and deer hunting. Jack is the son of Todd and Shelly Ruden.
