Sarah Murphy is a senior at Quincy High School and attends the Environmental and Agri-Science Program at the Branch Area Careers Center.  Sarah has an On-the-Job Training placement position with Care Center Hospital for Animals under the direction of Claire Lorentz and Angie King.  She works as a Vet Tech Assistant cleaning exam rooms, sweeping, assisting with surgeries, restraining patients and cleaning kennels.  Sarah is the daughter of Nicole Murphy, Felix Arellano, and Mike Murphy.

Sarah is a member of the BACC FFA Chapter. She has earned her FFA greenhand degree, chapter degree, and competed in career development events.   Sarah’s hobbies include drawing, spray paint art and interior decorating.

After graduation, Sarah plans to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology as she continues to work part-time.  OJT has reinforced her decision to pursue a degree and career in Veterinary Technology.  She has also gained valuable experience and skills enabling her to work on her own and help animals.  Her favorite part of OJT is working with kind, hardworking people and being able to get hands-on experience.
