Saleh Mohammed is the Branch Area Careers Center Engineering, CAD/CAM and Architecture Senior of the Year. Saleh is a Coldwater High School senior who has been attending the BACC CAD/CAM program for the past 2 years. This year Saleh submitted an entry in the Michigan Design Councils, Michigan Design Challenge Competition and was scheduled to compete in the SkillsUSA State Competition and the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society (MITES) Competition, until both were cancelled in March. For the second year, Saleh was chosen by his classmates to serve as President for the PM chapter of SkillsUSA. He attended meetings, reported back to the class and helped to organize activities and volunteer work.
After graduating High School, Saleh plans to attend Kellogg Community College for two years and then transfer to Michigan State University to pursue a degree in engineering. After graduating from college, Saleh plans to enjoy a successful career as a an engineer.
Marvin Gage, Engineering, CAD/CAM and Architecture Instructor selected Saleh because he has many strong positive personal qualities. He has always been a model student who is polite, respectful, caring, and a hard worker. Saleh has demonstrated his maturity and his commitment to obtaining an engineering degree. He is a leader in the classroom; working with all students. Additionally, he is a leader in his community and a teacher at the Mosque. People find themselves drawn to him not by his actions, but by his personality and character.
