Nathan Parsons is the Branch Area Careers Center Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Senior of the Year. Nathan is a Coldwater High School senior who has been attending the BACC Criminal Justice program for the past 2 years. During the year Nathan has worked with the Michigan State Police and the Branch County Sheriff’s Department. Nathan has excelled at each placement. Both the MSP and Sheriff’s office have praised his work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Nathan has volunteered to help at the BACC with 9th and 10th grades tours, as well as Kids Consider College and Careers event.
After graduating High School, Nathan plans to attend Southwestern University to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice and Computer Science. Currently, Nathan works at Wal-Mart and Home City Ice.
Alan Fouty, Criminal Justice Instructor, selected Nathan because he has been a role model for the Juniors in class, showing them what can be accomplished in the senior year. Nathan has also stepped in to help any students that were in need and assist the instructors with scenarios and in class projects.
