Ethan Metzger is a senior at Bronson Jr/Sr. High School and attends the Environmental Agri-Science program at the Branch Area Careers Center. He is the son of Joel and Heidi Metzger. Ethan has an On-the-Job Training placement as a farm hand at S & T Barns, under the direction of Chuck Shimp. His responsibilities include working in the pig barns, assisting with farm responsibilities in harvest, planting and tilling, spreading manure and moving equipment.
Ethan feels his OJT training has helped with responsibility and teaches him how to be a better leader. His favorite part about his OJT job is getting to operate machinery and work with nice equipment. Ethan is a member of the BACC FFA chapter. He has won FFA awards in the Poultry contest, Environmental skills contest, Greenhand degree, Outstanding Junior degree and Chapter degree. At Bronson High School, Ethan is a member of the Varsity Football and Basketball teams.
Ethan’s hobbies include drag racing and spending time with his friends. In the future, Ethan plans on attending the University of Northwestern Ohio to pursue a degree in High Performance Racing.
