Substitute Teaching Procedures in Branch County

To be eligible to substitute teach, you will need a minimum of 90 semester hours of satisfactory credit (grade ‘C’ or better) combined from one or more regionally accredited two or four-year colleges or universities.

There are two (2) Michigan legislative requirements that all schools in Michigan must follow before employing a substitute teacher:

  2. Unprofessional Conduct Check – PESG is required to contact any current or past employers to make certain there has been no unprofessional misconduct.
