Building Supportive Relationships Between Parent and Child

Early Head Start enroolls and serves Head Start eligible pregnant women and their families with infants and toddlers age 0-3 years.  EHS works with parents to enhance their child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development; assists pregnant women to access comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care; supports parents' efforts to fulfill their parental roles and helps families move  toward self-sufficiency.

EHS  is a home based program specializing in infant and toddler development; we build special relationships with families to help them reach self  sufficiency by connecting them to community resources,  teaching, listening, and supporting.

  Families ELIGIBLE for EHS    

  • Families with incomes below the  federal poverty guidelines
  • Pregnant teens
  • First time parents
  • Homeless parents with infants or toddlers

    Services Provided  

  • Prenatal education and support
  • Parent support and parent/child activities  
  • Referrals for health, care, social services, housing and food assistance
  • Referrals for job training, GED, health insurance, and public benefits
  • Group activities and parent-child socialization meetings.
