Waldron Student wins State Safety Poster Contest

Students at the Waldron Learning Center were rewarded for their artistic efforts and their awareness of safety, as part of the United Commercial Travelers (UCT) poster contest. Students were instructed to create posters promoting safety awareness.

Posters were judged by UCT Local 452 and at the State Level:

Jordan Roberts received 1st place-Local Division, and 3rd place-State Division

Skylair Williams received 3rd place-Local Division, and 2nd place-State Division

Drew Lester received 2nd place-Local Division and 1st place-State Level. Drew’s poster has automatically been entered in the National Judging Division. The winner of the National Competition will be announced in July.

Each year UCT sponsors a poster contest for students with intellectual disabilities. The contest is part of an international competition held by UCT councils throughout the United States and Canada.
