UCT Gives Donation to the Waldron Center

UCT members, Barb Fry and Cathy Suever, stand behind UCT check, which Joe Lopez, Superintendent accepts.

Thanks to the generous donation from UCT Coldwater Council #452, the Waldron Learning Center will be receiving a ramp for their stage.  In the past, the Waldron Center relied on the generosity of Ramp-It USA who loaned a ramp to the school for special events.

According to Special Education Director Darrin Adair, Ed.S., in additional to academic instruction, a major portion of the special education budget is reserved for services for our students such as occupational and physical therapy, speech, hearing, and nursing services, so UCT’s donation is truly appreciated.

The ramp will be used for graduation and student award programs and enables students with physical disabilities to be a part of these special events.
