Under the instruction of Lynette Mallow, students in the STEPS program (Student Transition Employment Program = Success) recently learned about the social responsibility of helping others. The class voted to donated their spare change—which totaled $100—to the Wounded Warriors Project.

The Wounded Warriors Project was founded in 2003 and is a veterans service organization that offers programs and services to wounded veterans of military actions following September 11, 2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
