Ruger Ranney

Ruger Ranney is a senior from Bronson High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Welding Engineering Technology program.  His On-The-Job-Training placement is with LaGrange Products under the supervision of John Dodson.  Ruger’s job duties include fitting and welding parts for pressure vessels.

He says his OJT job has really helped him become a better and more proficient welder.  Ruger’s favorite part of the job includes gaining valuable work experience, learning a trade, and doing well in that trade.  Ruger plans to attend college in Tulsa, Oklahoma to become a pipeline welder.  At Bronson High School, Ruger is a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team. At the Branch Area Careers Center, he is a member of Skills USA where he competed in stick welding. Ruger won 3rd place in local competition and first place in the Regional competition.

In his spare time, Ruger enjoys hunting, trapping and fishing. He also enjoys tractor pulls and working with cattle to prepare the cattle for show and for reproduction. Ruger is the son of Bob Ranney and Sonya Ludwick.
