CONGRATULATIONS to the STEPS program manager, Lisa Kontowsky, for receiving a $1,000 mini-grant from the Binda Foundation (CISD grant coordinator).

Kontowsky’s students will use these grant funds to create Jars of Joy and participate in real-world experience by shopping for items, using math and money skills, and creating a budget to monitor expenses and profit. The students are inviting family, friends & the community to support their entrepreneurial endeavors as they learn the value of work, gain self-confidence, and transition into adult life.

They are offering the following jar mixes for $7 each or 3 for $20. Checks should be made payable to Branch ISD.

  • Peanut Butter Brownie Mix
  • Rocky Road Brownie Mix
  • Chocolate Mint Brownie Mix
  • Oatmeal Raisin Cook Mix
  • Fish ‘n Poles Snack Mix
  • Hearty Granola
