OJT Spotlight: Araceli Hernandez

Araceli Hernandez is a senior at Bronson Jr/Sr High School and enrolled in Business, Management & Marketing Technologies Program.  Her OJT placement is the Corner Store Manager at the Branch Area Careers Center under the supervision of Brittany Wisman.  As Manager, Araceli is responsible for training BMMT students, stocking and keeping track of inventory, preparing food items, cleaning and cash transactions.

Araceli believes her OJT training has helped her learn customer service and communication, leadership skills, and has also helped her become a more outgoing person.  Her favorite part about her OJT job is meeting and interacting with customers and students every day.

Araceli’s future plans are to attend either the University of Michigan or University of Notre Dame.  She plans to get her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Her career goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Araceli coaches soccer at St. Mary’s and enjoys playing soccer as well.  She is also part of St. Mary’s youth group.

At the Branch Area Careers Center, Araceli is a two year member of Business Professionals of America.  Last year, she placed 1st in Financial Analyst team and 2nd in Legal Office Procedures at the regional level which allowed her to compete at the State Leadership Conference.

At Bronson High School, she is a member of the varsity softball and bowling teams.  Araceli is the daughter of Norma Cuellar.
