Allison Harbaugh is a senior attending Quincy High School and is enrolled in the Business, Management, Marketing & Technology program at the Branch Area Careers Center.
Allison is employed through the On-The-Job Training program at Lakeside Farms as a bookkeeper and office assistant. Her supervisor is Charrissa Rager. Her job duties include entering receipts, cutting checks, filing, and making deposits.
Allison feels her OJT placement has taught her to problem solve and be responsible. She feels the best part of her OJT training is the preparation for her future career. Since she is engaged in the hands-on business and accounting aspect of the farm, she has learned how to overcome possible hurdles she may face in the accounting field.
She is a member of Business Professionals of America at the BACC. Last year, Allison competed at the local, regional, state, and national levels for BPA. She received her Ambassador Torch award at the National Level. This year, Allison serves as the chapter President. She plans on competing again this year.
At Quincy High School, Allison is a member of National Honor Society. Her plan after graduation is to pursue a degree in Accounting, earning her CPA. She also plans to create opportunities to give back to her community.
In her spare time, Allison enjoys taking care of her animals, spending time with her family and painting. Allison is the daughter of Larry and Pam Harbaugh.
