Alexis Sunday is a senior at Quincy High School and a student in the Computer Networking Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center. Alexis serves as a Customer Service Representative at ZipSpider, Inc. located in Angola under the supervision of Del Smith. Alexis’s duties include end user support regarding technology problems, answering phones, troubleshooting issues, customer sales and billing. Alexis believes her OJT training has helped her communication skills by teaching her how to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers over the phone, as well as in person. Her favorite part of OJT is going to work each day and troubleshooting and solving customer problems. She genuinely enjoys working with her co-workers and the opportunities they give her daily.
Her future plans are to complete the early middle college program at KCC and then transfer to a four year university to earn a Bachelor’s degree in the cyber security. Alexis earned her CompTIA A+ certification as a junior last school year. Alexis is a member of the BACC’s Business Professionals of America club and served as Secretary last year. She qualified for the BPA State Leadership conference in March and plans to compete in a variety of events this school year. At Quincy High School, Alexis is a Student Council representative, President of her class, National Honor Society member, College Ambassadors Club member and Varsity Club member. She also competes on the Varsity Cross Country and Track teams. Alexis’s parents are Gary and Leslie Sunday. In her spare time, Alexis likes to spend time with family and friends.
