Zandra Paxton

OJT Spotlight - Zandra Paxton

Zandra Paxton is a senior at Quincy High School and enrolled in Business, Management & Marketing Technologies Program at the Branch Area Careers Center.   Her OJT placement is the Manager of Images, Etc at the Branch Area Careers Center screen printing shop.  She is supervised by Susan Sobeske. Her job duties are to screen print, use sublimation, and embroider apparel.  She also likes to design the images that will transfer to the apparel.

Zandra believes her OJT training has helped assimilate to work life and learn the ropes of all aspects of having a job.  Her favorite part of her OJT job is the creativity she is allowed. She feels like there is never a dull moment and she really has fun creating designs and applying them to apparel.

Her future plans are complete her Middle College program through Quincy High and Kellogg Community College which she will earn an Associate’s Degree. From there, Zandra plans on pursuing her Bachelor’s degree.  In her spare time, Zandra enjoys dance, reading and writing.

Zandra is a member of Business Professionals of America at the BACC. In BPA Competitive events, Zandra competes in Parliamentary Procedure team and Torch Award. Last year, Zandra qualified for BPA National Competition in Boston.  At Quincy High School, Zandra is a member of Drama and SHO-Students Helping Others. She is the daughter of Chantal and James Paxton.
