Trey Watson is a senior from Quincy High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Welding Engineering and Technology program. His On-The-Job-Training placement is with Hart Fabrication under the supervision of Reed Smith. Trey’s job is to fabricate parts and accessories for docks.
He says his OJT job has really helped him by introducing him into the industry and preparing him for his career. Trey feels that this experience has helped him mature and learn more about his trade. His favorite part of his job is learning more about welding and while still earning money. Trey plans to attend Tulsa Welding School in Florida after graduation. He plans to get his Welding certifications and purse a career in underwater welding.
At the BACC, he is a member of Skills USA. Last year he placed 6th in Welding Locals and 2nd in Welding Regionals. At Quincy High School, Trey participates in Varsity Football and Track. In his spare time, Trey likes to hunt, fish, build things and help his dad work on his truck. Trey is the son of Jeff Watson and Amanda Green.
