TJ Wallo OJT Spotlight & SMBT

T.J. Wallo is a senior at Bronson Jr/Sr High School and a student in the Computer Networking Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center.

T.J. is an Information Technology Help Desk Technician at Southern Michigan Bank & Trust in Coldwater under the supervision of Kevin Luckert.  T.J.’s duties include basic computer repairs, inventory, computer maintenance, and answering phone calls.

His favorite part of the job is going to the remote SMB&T branches and helping at those sites.  T.J. believes his OJT training has helped him learn how to be a better communicator at work through e-mails and assisting co-workers over the phone.

His future plans are to attend college at either Davenport or University of Michigan to pursue a degree in computer science. Ultimately, T.J. would like to be a Network Administrator.

T.J. is a member of the BACC’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) club and National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Last year T.J. competed at the BPA local, regional, state, and national levels for BPA.  This spring, T.J. placed second in the nation in Computer Networking Technology.

At Bronson High School, T.J. is a member of National Honor Society. In his spare time, T.J. enjoys playing video games and playing pool with his family. T.J. is the son of Gail Watkins.
