Branch County Summer School

The Branch Area Careers Center hosts Math, English and Social Studies summer school for Branch County students. Please see the application and calendar documents at the bottom of this page for more specific information.

Dates:June 19 – June 30, 2017
AM Sessions:AM Session: 8:00 – 12:00
Algebra I, II & Geometry History, Social Studies, etc.
PM Sessions:PM Session: 1:00-5:00
Algebra I, II & Geometry, English, & American/British Lit


Credit:Students will work at own pace with a maximum of 30 hours instructional time available. Student must complete all required assignments and mastery tests at 60% accuracy to receive credit. Credit will be determined by local District based on standards accomplished by student.
Attendance:Attendance is mandatory until 100% of the course content is completed. Students are required to have at least a 60% final grade. Instructors will call home if student is not in attendance.
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE & REQUIREMENTS:Completed application, full payment and transcript must be submitted to Angie Taylor at the Branch Area Careers Center. Student is not enrolled until these items are received. Classes are filled on a first come first served basis.
Costs:$75 per class will be paid by the student with the remaining balance paid by the sending school District. Summer School is primarily open to students who attend Bronson, Coldwater, Pansophia or Quincy schools. Applications will not be accepted without payment. (Make check payable to BISD).

NOTE: After June 5th, out of county students are eligible to participate at rate of $200 per class on a space available basis.

STUDENTS & PARENTS, PLEASE REMEMBER:

  • This credit is remedial –course has been taken before and not successfully completed
  • Instructional format is teacher guided independent study
  • Classes are for students who have failed a class and are in need of remediation
