Heather Neitzka is a senior from Coldwater High School and attends the Branch Area Careers Center’s Business Management, Marketing & Technology program. Her On-The-Job Training placement is at Browne Aquatic Center under the supervision of Buzz Sharpley.
Heather is a lifeguard, swim lesson instructor and front desk receptionist. She teaches young swimmers and is responsible for opening and closing the Aquatic Center. She also assists customers with reservations and admission fees. She says her OJT job has really helped her understand the importance of being professional as well as being a hard worker. Her favorite part of the job is working with a great staff and getting experience while in high school.
At the Branch Area Careers Center, Heather is a two-year member of Business Professionals of America. She has won numerous awards and will be competing in Desktop Publishing at the State Leadership Conference in March. At Coldwater High School, Heather is a member of the Varsity Swim and Track teams.
Heather’s future plans are to attend college for two years and then enlist in the military. In the military, she wants to pursue training in health administration. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, volleyball, drawing and painting. Heather is the daughter of Kim and Dennis Neitzka.
