The student must demonstrate the ability to work independently and take full responsibility for procedures established. This includes keeping time sheets, following attendance procedures, completing all required work, reporting to job-site on time, etc.
The student must demonstrate high school level reading and writing skills for Education Academy I and Education Academy II.
The student must possess excellent communication skills. It is expected that the students will have daily contact with students, staff, and parents at the placement site.
Problem Solving Skills
The student must possess a level of maturity in which appropriate problem-solving skills are utilized. In addition, if problems do develop, the student must be capable of working together to resolve issues and learn and grow from mistakes.
The student must be capable of maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The student must be able to take constructive criticism and direction from the mentor. The student must also be able to learn and implement educational strategies and techniques.
