COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education didn't have to look far to find its next Director of Career and Technical Education. The Board on Wednesday unanimously approved the recommendation to hire Randy Sowles to succeed Jamie Engel, who left at the end of June to take the CTE Director position at the Ingham ISD. Sowles has most recently served as the Principal of the Branch Area Careers Center.
In making the recommendation, BISD Superintendent Kristine Jenkins told the Board that his knowledge, current relationships with BACC staff, and the trust that's been built up over the years will move the Careers Center forward.
Sowles said that he's fully committed to the mission of Career and Technical Education as he thanked the BISD Board for the opportunity.
